Arts-based Day
Centre.
Caring & Sharing’s acclaimed Day Centre provides a whole range of
therapy programmes for adults with learning disabilities, challenging
behaviour and complex emotional needs.
Activities
Led by
our team of dedicated Artists/Therapists, art, dance, music, drama,
sculpture, performance and photography are just some of the
stimulating activities on the menu for those attending the Centre at
Cotton’s Farmhouse.
Developing Life Skills
As well
as providing plenty of opportunities for fun and enjoyment, all the
activities are designed to help people develop a range of important
skills and abilities:- communication skills, confidence, self-esteem,
social skills, teamwork, etc.
Being a part of something
Joining
in with others is not always easy for people with learning
disabilities but at the Caring & Sharing Trust great emphasis is put
on mutual help and respect, recognising the joys of friendship as well
as the responsibilities.
Flourishing as Individuals
Put
simply, Caring & Sharing aims to help people with learning
disabilities to lead increasingly fulfilling and independent live
within their families, homes, and the community at large.
Facilities
At its
Cotton’s Farmhouse base, Caring & Sharing enjoys the use of a 70 seat
‘Theatre-in-a-Barn’, Art Studio, Library, Common Room, Music Room and
lovely peaceful grounds.
How
to join in
Referrals are usually made by care managers but direct queries from
parent, relatives and care workers are also welcome.
